God's Timing vs. My Timing

· Faith

" It's not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has set by his own authority " Acts 1:7

We all want good things to happen in our lives, but too often we want it now. Then when it doesn't happen our way, we tend to question God. What we often fail to realize is that God doesn't move at our pace, we move at His.

Some of us will do absolutely anything to speed things up; but if patience is a virtue, then speed is our vice. Many of us speed through this life God has given us. We can be in such a rush to get to the next level in life, that we miss out on what God is doing for us in this very moment. Speed can blind us to the beauty around us. We forget that God created life to be enjoyed, not endured. When we run too fast, we get off course with God's plans + all that he is doing for us. There may be things we want, but God knows we aren't quite ready for them yet.

This race is our walk with God; He is challenging us to slow down + enjoy the race. Remember, life is a faith run; and God is your partner in this race. We won't get to the victory line based on how fast we ran, but rather who we're running with.
